Join Us for the 2026 New England Anesthesia Resident Conference (NEAR)

We are excited to welcome you to the 2026 New England Anesthesia Resident Conference (NEAR), taking place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Boston University Medical Center.

Whether you are a medical student or resident looking to showcase your research, an attending physician interested in supporting and engaging with the next generation of anesthesiologists, or simply looking for a chance to connect with colleagues from across the region, NEAR offers a unique opportunity for learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

This year's conference will feature a full day of educational programming, networking opportunities, and research presentations. Our keynote speaker and breakout session schedule will be announced soon. Registration includes breakfast and lunch, providing additional opportunities to connect with colleagues and peers throughout the day.

We are also excited to share that plans are currently underway for a Saturday evening social event immediately after the conference, with additional details to be announced in the coming months.

We encourage trainees to participate by presenting e-posters highlighting clinical research, basic science investigations, quality improvement projects, and challenging case reports. Abstract submissions are limited to 100-words, and if accepted, presenters can submit and present their poster on one of our screens, allowing presenters to share their work in a fully digital format with no printing required. Note, abstracts will be accepted on a rolling-basis. You may submit e-posters you plan to present at ASA 2026. 

Abstracts will be due: 08/15/2026

E-Posters will be due 09/12/2026

To recognize outstanding scholarly work, monetary awards will be presented for first, second, and third place poster and oral presentations across multiple categories.

• Attending Physicians: $100.00
• Poster Presenters: Free
• Speakers: Free
• Undergraduate Students, Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows: $25.00
